BIM technologies: First experience at our construction sites

This is the first overhaul reconstruction project we use BIM technologies in, our experimental construction site is “Bolshie Kaibitsy-Kamylovo auto road, part km 5+050 - km 6+950 in Kaibitsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan”. The project works are made by “Centrestroyproyekt” LLC. BIM model includes all geometric parameters of pavement layers and road parts, as well as the information about materials used and their characteristics; it allows high-precision and fast estimation of project structure and potential collisions during project development. Adjustment of digital model can be made in course of works or after they are finished according to the actually completed works. In future we plan to use BIM model for all life cycles of the auto road.
