Pothole repair of the asphalt-concrete pavement using thermal containers

To enhance quality of pothole repair works with asphalt-concrete mixes, in 2010 the company bought 15 sets of pothole repair machinery – multiple unit road builder mounted on MAN TGA 6*4 with thermal container for ATC 100S asphalt-concrete mix, Ammann AV 23-2 mini roller, Simex PL4520 road scraper mounted on CASE 445 loader and Obermeier OST-T119S semi-trailer.

The thermal container is equipped with:

  • heater that allows to keep the working temperature of the asphalt-concrete mix for 24 hours;
  • mix dosing screw;
  • bitumen emulsion container.

In 2012 the company had bought and put into operation 5 Graber Baumaschinen (Switzerland) hotbox-bunkers indicated for transportation and storage of up to 13 cu. m. of hot asphalt-concrete mix. The heat-insulated structure of the hotbox allows keeping the mix hot for up to 10-12 hours.

Using such equipment the pothole repair can be done any way far from asphalt-concrete plant for a long time without loss of performance.
